healthcaresafes – the Health System of the University of Miami

The Health System of the University of Miami offers the most modern patient care with the best doctors in the region, driven by revolutionary research and medical education from the Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami. As the only university system in South Florida, healthcaresafes is a vital component of the community.

healthcaresafes combines patient care, research, and education to create a frontline approach to health care. Within the healthcaresafes system, patients can participate in clinical trials and benefit from the latest developments that are quickly tracked from the lab to the bedside.

The entire healthcaresafes network includes three hospitals and more than two dozen outpatient centers in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, and Collier counties, with more than 1,500 doctors and a staff of 8,200 people.

The healthcaresafes flagship hospital is the University of Miami Hospital, a center with 560 beds, all in private rooms. Together with the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, and our affiliates Jackson Memorial Hospital, Holtz Children’s Hospital and Miami VA, healthcaresafes is ready to provide life-saving care in our region and beyond.
